Stanisław KARA
(commemorated)

( 1893-1955 )
Born in 1893. Commander of the Military College in the Mazowsze region. In 1931 appointed Polish Consul General in Paris, Lille and Berlin. Served as Colonel in the Polish Army in France from 1939 to1940 and as a Liaison Officer with Poland's underground Home Army in Lisbon from 1940 to 1944. From 1944 to 1945 served as Military Attaché in Rio de Janeiro and as secretary general of the Polish Catholic Union in Rio after the war. Supporter of the Polish Refugee Aid Committee in Brazil. Recipient of numerous high-level Polish and foreign awards. Died in Brazil at the age of 62.

Wife of Colonel Kara (above). Erected this memorial to her husband, modeled on General Wladyslaw Sikorski's monument in London. Died in Montreal at the age of 71.
Romuald SANDERS ŚWIDERSKI
( 1914-1979 )
First husband of Anna Kara (below).
Died at age 65 in Lake Hopcatong, New Jersey, USA.
Janina KARA MITZ

Daughter of Wladyslawa and Stanislaw Kara (abowe). Wife of pilot Jerzy Mitz. Died at the age of 66 in New York.
Anna KARA TARASIEWICZ
( 1923-1983 )
Physician. Daughter of Wladyslawa and Stanislaw Kara (abowe). First married to Romuald Sanders (above), then to Mr. Tarasiewicz. Died at the age of 60 in Andover, New Jersey, USA.
