Born and educated in Poland. Graduated in forestry engineering from Poznan University, then employed in Warsaw in the pre-war Forestry Agency. Married, father of 4 boys. Military and Resistance service during WW II. In 1945-1949 worked in central Europe, emigrated to Canada in 1951, worked in Montreal as a forestry consultant. Published a manual: Forest Products in Terms of Metric Units (1970). Died at age 89.

Born in Bydgoszcz, Poland, arrived in Montreal in 1957, and obtained a B.Eng. (MCH) at McGill University, and in 1970 an MSc at the University of Southampton. His career, spanning the fields of aerospace and industrial acoustics, started at Pratt & Whitney, Canada, then Farr Co. and finally SPL Control Ltd. which he cofounded with his business partner in 1979.
After he retired in 1998, he and his wife travelled abroad and enjoyed music and ballet.
He died in Waterloo, ON, and is survived by his wife Margaret (born Skowronska) and many nephews and nieces.
