Born and schooled in Poland. At 15, served as a courier in the Warsaw Uprising, was deported to a German camp for minors; on liberation by the US Army was accepted by Sweden on humanitarian grounds to complete his education. Emigrated to Canada, worked in Canadair. Survived by wife, Krystyna Ostrowska, two daughters and two grandchildren.

Wife of Henryk Dragon (above), she died in Sainte-Adèle at age 87, mourned by her daughters Thérèse (Claude Arsenault) and Marguerite (Christian Clavel), her grand-children, Marie-Pier (Tommy Pelletier) and Marc-André, and her sister Irene Zagorska.
Stanisław ZAGÓRSKI

Born and educated in Poland. During the German occupation, served in the underground Resistance (AK). After the war, enlisted in the Polish People's Army and became an officer. On refusing an assignment to Moscow, he was degraded and condemned to 6 years' hard labour, but was amnestied three years later after Stalin's death. In 1959, emigrated and settled in Montreal, where he worked at Marconi's and Canadair. Survived by his second wife, Irena Ostrowska, three children and four grandchildren.
